Watching Ryan Reynolds “act” is as enjoyable as drinking toilet bowl cleaner. Disguised as cheap Hollywood teeth whitener, both leave an unsatisfying minty aftertaste while eating away your insides. Reynolds has made a career piggybacking on other hits, while pretending to be part of the same A-List universe. According to YouTube ads last year, the CGI fused fantasy Free Guy was to be released in 2020.

The movie studio blamed the COVID pandemic (and Trump) to retool the predictable bomb. Producers were able to get a 2 year upgrade in the CGI department to at least pay their Chinese censors. But their biggest faux pas in the George Floyd Age was not including any black actors in the original.
Free Guy being distributed to now defunct Dollar Cinemas closed by the Wuhan Virus is apropos with other forgettable Ryan Reynold’s flops this year. If you want to hear cuss words, go see the R-rated Ryan Reynolds. Maybe you’ve seen all the Ryan Reynolds movies out there already, and just don’t remember.
